Under the slogan: "The Day of Memory... A Day of Remembrance for a Promised Era", the Consulate General commemorated today the 80th anniversary of the massacres of 8 May 1945 - 2025.
The ceremony began with listening to the national anthem, followed by the recitation of the Fatiha of the Book, then a minute of silence in honour of the souls of our innocent martyrs.
During the occasion, the message of President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, was read by members of the consular staff, as well as members of the Algerian community living in Southern Italy.
