In the context of the ongoing commitment made by the Algerian authorities to ensure the best reception conditions for members of the Algerian community returning home during the summer season 2025, the Consulate General informs all Algerian citizens residing in its consular district that the General Directorate of Customs has made available, through its electronic portal, information material in Arabic, French and English.
These publications, accessible via the modern digital platform "ALCES", contain complete information on the customs procedures that can be carried out remotely, concerning in particular:
- the declaration of currency and valuables;
- the declaration of baggage and personal effects;
- the signing of the customs transit carnet for vehicles.
This initiative is part of the facilitation measures adopted for the benefit of Algerian citizens living abroad, and is part of the administration's strategy aimed at bringing the service closer to the citizen, ensuring easy access to useful customs information for travellers and allowing them to use it effectively before arriving on national territory.
